FC Platinum will face their toughest test yet when they take on reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Scottland FC at Rufaro Stadium tomorrow.
New Pure Platinum Play gaffer Thabo Senong has admitted his side faces an uphill battle against the log leaders, but insists his team must learn from past mistakes if they are to get a result in Harare.
“It’s not going to be an easy game. We all know Scottland and their superiorities,” Senong said.
“But we have to sit down, look at the good things we did right in our past two games and try to repeat them. We also need to identify some weaknesses.
“Remember, our last game against Scottland we lost 3-1. So we have to look again at what it is we are doing wrong and we can only get better. But I believe in the boys, especially their response, and we are hoping for a good game in Harare.”
The 2017-2021 league giants have shown signs of recovery in their last two outings, and Senong will be hoping to build on that momentum against a Scottland side that has dominated the league this season.
Scottland have been formidable in their title defense, suffering just two defeats in the Castle Lager PSL so far to Highlanders and Simba Bhora.
