BULAWAYO — Jordan FC defender Tinashe Jimu says he is taking positives from his side’s Munhumutapa Cup campaign despite a heavy 5-1 defeat to Premier League outfit Hardrock FC.
The Division One side bowed out of the competition following the loss, but Jimu insists the experience will benefit the team going forward.
“I’m proud of the boys, and I’m proud of myself,” Jimu told Sportsgrind Africa. “It was never going to be easy against an opponent like that. I’m grateful for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to achieving more with Jordan in the future.”
The cup setback has not derailed Jordan’s season. The team has quickly turned its attention back to the league, where it currently sits 4th on the log.
Jordan have enjoyed a strong campaign so far and trail log leaders Hwange by 10 points with matches still to play.
